A beautiful valley in the middle Himalayas, is approximately 8 KM long and 4 KM wide range. As per the various sources its said that 2 mountaineer saw this first in the year 1931, but as per the local folks they were aware of it since long, as they used to trade between Tibat and China using this Bhyndar valley. They use to trade for Salt and other eatables with the tribes of the adjacent countries.

This valley has more than 800 species of flowers. If one sees it from a peak it just appears like some one had prepared a bed of flowery sheet.

Valley starts flowering in the month of May when it starts warming in the himalayas.

How to reach Nearest airport is Dehradun which is approximately 300 KMs, from here one can hire a taxi or can have tourist buses which commute on a regular interval, Nearest Railway Station is Rishikesh approximately 280 KMs, once again taxis and buses are available from here.

Best Time to Visit Opened during the summers for public. Best time is September - October, when most of the flowers are on their full charm.
ADVICE - Do Not Touch Any Flower or Smell it Very Closely. You may have itching, sneezes or may get fainted.

Kaalimath is Temple of Goddess Kaali, situated at the bank of beautiful river Mandakini, near Guptakashi. This is a Sidh Peeth and sages from different part of India come here and worship for Goddess.

This temple is at a height of approx. 6000 ft. from Sea level and has modest temprature. It takes approximately 8 hours to reach this place from Rishikesh, which is the nearest Railway station and Airport. The journey from Rishikesh to Kaalimath could be a little tiring for some people, but this is definitely refreshing as you move along with river Ganga. The sight worth viewing, green valley definitely makes you feel better.

There lots of hotels in Guptakashi for night stay. Most of the hotels are economical and pretty cozy, as the weather is cold through out the year.

After reaching to Kaalimath all the tiredness of the long journey is gone. Here a difference is seen in the temple, this temple is different than the temples usually. This temple is round in the shape and is painted with Red Color, you will find lots of bells all over which are hanged all over by the devotees when ever their wishes to come true. This temple is known most potent for worship as this is among the Sidh Peeths and have a history of successful Siddhi Prapti for lots of Sages/Rishi’s.

There are two very beautiful places near this Temple.
Ruchh - This is one of the best places in the hills I have been on hills. A small temple of lord shiva in valley with river flowing near by.
Kalshila - This is the main Temple of Kaali, which is approximately 6 KMs from Kaalimath temple.

It is said that Lord Shiva was in his meditation when Lord Vishnu visited this place and he liked this place so much that he planned to reside here. But he knew Shiva will not allow him to be here, so he took on a form of a child and started wailing. On this Parvati picked him and tried to calm him. But this child continued crying loudly, which disturbed Shiva continuously. Now Shiva planned to leave this place and left for Kedarnath which was on a peak of Himalayas and Vishnu continued to live here as Lord Badrinath.

Badrinath is at a height of approx. 3000 ft from sea level. Nearest airport and railway station is at Rishikesh which is approximately 300 KMs from this place.

Tourist guest houses and lots of Dharamshalas are here for night stay.

Most suitable time for visit is April-June and September-October.

There are lots of other places to visit near Badrinath.

Vasudhara - This is a magnificent water fall, approx 5 KMs from Badrinath. 2 KM motorway till Mana Village and after that hilly path for next 3 KMs.

Hemkund Sahib - While approaching to Badrinath, Gobind Ghat is a small station. From this place one can start for Hemkund Sahib. It takes approx 6 hours for one to reach this place from Gobind Ghat. This is a holy place of Sikhs and Hindus. A lake Lokpal is on the top and Laxman Temple and a gurudwara is situated on the bank of the lake.

Satopanth - Approximately 25 KMs from Badrinath. A lake with 3 corners, which are named on 3 Gods of Hindus; Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Its believed that Pandavas followed this way for Nirvana.

Uttaranchal is known as Deve Bhoomi (Land of Lords). Every stone in Uttaranchal depicts a story which is related to the Gods. Move a mile ahead and you will find a temple in the beautiful valley of the river Ganga, yamuna or you can see it on top of a hill with the greenery surrounding it.

Be it Tungnath surrounded by Bugyaal or Rudranath surrounded by beautiful flowers spread all over the nature.

Among these temples 5 temples of Lord Kedar (Shiva) are famous and this is written in the Puranas(Hindu Religious Books), if one visits to all these temples, he will be free from rebirth and will find Moksha.

Five Kedar’s are :-
1. Kedarnath
2. Rudranath
3. Tunganath
4. Madmaheshwar
5. Kalpeshwar

All the above temples are related to Pandava’s and a story about the same is famous in hindu’s.

When the battle of Mahabharata was over, Pandavas were looking for blessings of Lord Shiva, but Lord Shiva was running from them when they reached at the top of Himalaya (now Kedarnath), Lord Shiva formed himself into a Bull and dived into the ground. Now his different part appeared in different places and each of the place was known as a Kedar.

Hijackthis is a utility that scans your computer for certain malware/spyware attacks and generates a log file. Hijackthis scans your registry completely and certain directories which are pron to attacks. This is one of the best utilities I found so far to remove spyware from PC’s, but one has to be extremely careful while removing these entries, as the hijacker might play some tricks and can name the entries very similiar to those of your Operating Systems.

Before removing any entry one has to make sure that this is the entry for a malicious program and than only should try to remove it. Before removing it the entry has to be backed up.

Beside the above there are other functionalities are available which are very helpful at times. Below is the list of the things one can do with Hijackthis.

1. Generate Startup List
2. Can check the list of the running processes.
3. Check the hosts file.
4. Can delete a file on reboot
5. Make a list of the itemes to be ignored while scanning PC
6. Can see the list of the Backup files and registry entries.

Further info is available on couple of websites, one can check it on tomcoyote.
